For Organisations

Research has found that promoting cycling equates to better business. Employees that cycle have increased productivity, improved levels of health and fitness, fewer sick days and lower stress levels. Free from the problems of road congestion and public transport delays, cycling to work provides a consistent and reliable commute time, which helps improve staff punctuality.

Add this to the corporate social responsibility benefits, reduced CO2 emissions and lower demand for car parking spaces and it all forms a very strong case for encouraging staff to cycle to work.

To support the use of The CarbonCycle website, BikeRight! offers a range of on-site company events and services. These events can be tailored to suit the needs of your organisation, ensuring promotion aligns with internal policies and goals.

Company Road Show Events

BikeRight! on-site bicycle road shows demonstrate an organisations commitment to supporting cycling and sustainable travel. These drop-in events offer staff the chance to test ride a range of commuter bicycles - perfect for anyone thinking of purchasing a new bike. Employees can also take advantage of free bicycle maintenance checks and demonstrations as well as advice on all aspects of cycling, including safety, clothing, accessories and journey planning. The road shows also provide more information on the National Standards for Cycle Training, which BikeRight! delivers.

Bicycle Maintenance Clinics

A bicycle maintenance clinic, or "Dr Bike" session, is a great way to support employees who cycle to work. These on-site events enhance the cycling culture of an organisation and actively encourage cycling amongst staff. BikeRight! provides a Cytech qualified mechanic, along with tools and maintenance stands, for a three hour morning or afternoon session. Staff can bring their own bicycles to the event and leave them with the mechanic to check over and fix problems where possible. Demonstrations on specific elements of bicycle maintenance can also be scheduled throughout the session, enhancing the knowledge of staff and taking the mystery out of basic bicycle repairs.

National Standards for Cycle Training

BikeRight! delivers on-road cycle training to small groups of staff, starting the sessions from the employees place of work. Equipment can be provided if required. More information on the National Standards for Cycle Training can be found on the page For Individuals. Training is delivered at the appropriate level for those taking part, ensuring that all trainees are comfortable and competent with the course content. Many people would like to cycle more but feel intimidated by roads and traffic - cycle training is an ideal way to overcome this by providing the skills and knowledge to ride on the roads with confidence.
